Years later, second generation, the late Franklin Powell joined with his father in selling furniture in the Fredericksburg area. In the early 1970's Jim Powell joined the family business as the third generation.... At present, there are over six other family members, including Jim's wife, Danielle, involved in the family business and , hopefully his two daughters Ashley and Kendall will make the fourth generation. Community involvement has always been a key part of Powell's business philosophy, through participation in, and support of, area organizations whose mission deals with improving family values in the communities they serve.
