Kincaid Furniture Company refers to itself as “An American Dream Come True,” and this is no exaggeration. J. Wade Kincaid began assembling dresser drawers at the age of 14 for a small furniture company in North Carolina. Deciding he wanted to work for himself, he slowly saved money over time and eventually purchased his own grocery store. But it didn’t take long for him to realize that furniture creation was his true calling, and in 1946 he purchased a small furniture company using $10,000 from his savings and from pooled funds from his family. From these humble beginnings, the Kincaid Furniture Company was brought to life.
Kincaid Foundry End Table 59-021
The Foundry collection exemplifies a form follows function design philosophy with inspiration coming from the factories it was born in. From the wood bed with its shapes from worn pallets, to the factory cart brackets that frame the posts the design combines casual rustic and industrial styles. Foundry is crafted of solid Norwegian Spruce and other select materials, features wire-brushed surfaces, and is finished with burnished edges and hammered plated zinc hardware.
