Hamilton Louden Bruce decided to try his hand at furniture manufacturing in October 1943. Leasing a small building for fifteen dollars a month, he hired two helpers and started to manufacture canvas covered lawn chairs, producing only about 24 chairs a day. Mr. Bruce named the company Hammary, after himself, Hamilton (Ham) and his wife Mary (mary). In 1947, Mr. Bruce dropped the lawn chair line and began to manufacture a group of occasional tables, able to sell $200,000 in orders before even the first sample tables were made at the plant!
Hammary Nicolette-Hamilton 2pc Rectangular Console Table Set in Auburn
This 2-piece console pairing offers a different approach to living room styling — where console surfaces and display take priority over a center coffee table. The sofa table becomes an architectural surface behind your seating perfect for styling, display, and visual interest. The matching oval end table provides a side surface while introducing organic curves that soften the composition. The warm Auburn finish unites these pieces in traditional elegance.
The Rectangular Sofa Table serves as both functional console surface and styling opportunity, allowing you to create visual layers and display interest. The Oval End Table provides complementary surface and introduces gentle curves that create visual rhythm. Together, these two pieces work beautifully in rooms where architectural surfaces and intentional styling matter more than a traditional center table arrangement. In Auburn, Nicolette-Hamilton delivers traditional design that celebrates curated styling and thoughtful composition.
