Hamilton Louden Bruce decided to try his hand at furniture manufacturing in October 1943. Leasing a small building for fifteen dollars a month, he hired two helpers and started to manufacture canvas covered lawn chairs, producing only about 24 chairs a day. Mr. Bruce named the company Hammary, after himself, Hamilton (Ham) and his wife Mary (mary). In 1947, Mr. Bruce dropped the lawn chair line and began to manufacture a group of occasional tables, able to sell $200,000 in orders before even the first sample tables were made at the plant!
Hammary Hamilton Leone Round End Table 563-918
Crafted of square and round metal tubing and tongue and grooved solid plank tops. Metal is antique brass and tops are weathered barn finish with worm holes and distressing. Leone follows today’s trend of clean lines and features an open space with an airy feel.
