Today’s Traditional is fusing different design-details together and creating product that is appealing, but understated in form. We looked to the English Traditional category and pulled bracket feet, contrasting inlays and architecture for Lafayette Square. In developing our color with Sherwin Williams, we captured the subtle textures of the wire-brushed White oak and poplar solids graining with our hand-applied Charcoal finish. The coloration is black, with wear-through to show the brown undertones. On top, we add a gray powder glaze that hangs in the grain, distressing the mouldings. We selected a pipe-inspired design for the drawer pulls that is finished in burnished copper.
