Extension of the Klismos form to a Wing Chair. Silhouette is crisply defined through gainage, tightly wrapping the fabric around the frame. Tight back and seat. Kidney pillow standard. Tapered legs. The name Sorbonne refers to the University of Paris, dating to the 13th century. This dramatic European-height chair ranks among Mr. Garcia's most versatile designs. It appears in both his modern Paris apartment and his 17th-century Chateau. Equally suitable for a lounge or conversation setting.
