Barbara Barry originally designed the Empress for her own home. Like most good fashion, it flaunts a curve, presents a crisp silhouette from every angle, and ultimately shows a little leg. The wood frame highlights the silhouette - light, sculpturally flowing, and edited - with everything in proportion. The Empress makes a big impression on a modest footprint.
